 Each Reefer factory's Al. T-floor joint shape of welding parts extruded / welding parameters as of Nov., 2020.

Since this welding is seriously important basically and technically for the strength of T-floor of Al. Reefer even if the Al. T-floor is being backed up by Al. stringers and PE stringers underneath this T-floor at the base assembly: owner inspector has to pay a special attention to check on the spot:

a) the scene of the fatigue testing on the welding bead of the Al. T-floor joining parts:

 The depth of fusion was only 2.16mm ( cracked )


b) Testing methods standardized for the fatique test:


 It keeps pressing 4mm downwards, then returning repeatedly all the time during the test till it is broken.

c) Comparison table of T-floor welding parameters made in each reefer factory group D / C / F / M:


Key technical points to be paid a special attention during inspection:

  Since the welding nozzle speed / current(AMP) is directly related to the fusion of joint welding bead ( penetration ); factory engineer / inspector have to monitor the welding parameters always.

  high output vs. working hrs. is to be poor quality high current is less fusion / strength.

 fast welding speed is to be shallow penetration. less frequency result is to be easy crack.


Note: factory with red wording remarks is very dangerous on the basis of actual test results..
